I took this clip from a live stream with one of the greatest harmonica players on the planet, Konstantin Reinfeld. We had a wonderful conversation yesterday on Hohner Live about nerves, the younger generation of harmonica players, and good practice routines.
This clip is a story about the worst gig of my life. It was a moment when I felt defeated and crushed by the weight of expectation. However, it was also a moment of incredible insight, as most catastrophes are.
To quote the great Sufi poet Rumi:
“The wound is the place where the light enters you.”
